Just next to the Valley of Fire in western direction is the Recreational Area of Lake Mead. Similar to Lake Powell, it has this deep blue color and the mountains crashing into the Lake. It’s absolutely stunning and we liked to cool off a bit after the hot desert of Valley of Fire. It really got up to the name and everything melted in the RV, even some beams came down as the glue didn’t keep them up anymore through the heat.
Driving North again from Lake Mead, we passed by Las Vegas, but did not visit it this time, as we have stayed in the city in 2010. So here are some flashback pictures of that time.

Übrigens, das ist nicht downtown Las Vegas. Das ist der Strip. Downtown ist der alte Teil von Vegas. Aber trotzdem coole Fotos!!!

ausserdem, warum fährt ihr an den schönsten Orten vorbei? 2010 ist 8 Jahre her, vielleicht hat sich nichts verändert, aber vielleicht doch! Und Ihr könntet, anstatt wie 2010 in den 3 Wochen, 3 Wochen in einem Ort verweilen. Das Grand Staircase Escalante Monument… die Gegend dort, da kann man ein Leben lang sein und hat noch nicht alles gesehen… hey, ihr seid nicht in “Abhaken-Ferien”… stay cool and stay…

Wir haben geplant 1 Jahr zu machen.. einmal rum.. leider mussten wir feststellen dass die USA so groß ist, dass man in einem Jahr einfach einteilen muss, sonst klappt’s nicht. Somit was wir schon gesehen haben, wird mehrheitlich ausgelassen um Neues zu sehen.. a big plan 🙂
