On the way from New Orleans, Louisiana to Houston, Texas, through the state of Louisiana, we stopped at the wonderful and quiet Palmetto State Park near Abbeville, Louisiana.
The park offers a wide range of wildlife: Amongst the black bear, tons of armadillos (see film below), lots of birds, alligators, some wild pigs, flocks of vultures and lots of crickets singing the whole night through. And, they have a cool canoe trail 🙂
Other great pics, from you both. I especially liked the pics of Cardinals–birds–we have them here & the red color, black eyes and yellow beaks standout in our back garden. And of course, the Armadillo–great courage little buggers, who must think they are 2 meters long and 1 meter high !

This bird was completely in love with our truck and our RV, respectively the glossy parts of it. A very beautiful bird.
