Portland, Maine

In the South of Maine you’ll find the cool city of Portland, which is the most populous city in the state of Maine and sits on the peninsula of Casco Bay. It’s heavily dependent on tourism (we saw the same cruise ship as in Bar Harbor 😂) and the port of Portland is the largest tonnage seaport in whole New England.

A funny historical point is, that Portland in Oregon, which Dominik visited alone, was named after Portland in Maine.

We enjoyed a terrific view from our campground.. unfortunately we also had quite some bad weather in Portland too, so we had time to do blogs then 😁 and ran out to see the beauty of that area on the sunny day..Portland_ME-1

Next we’re heading further South to the state of Massachusetts. See Three on the Road there.
