Big Bend Ranch State Park is the largest State Park in Texas. It is located adjacent to Big Bend National Park and shares the national parks’s Chihuahuan Desert ecosystem. Still it looks so different.
Lajitas, village just infront of Big Bend Ranch SP:
a wild horse searching for water wholes and food, outside the State Park on the Mexican side..
It definitively helps to be Swiss to drive these steep mountain roads in the State Park.. and to have 4×4 😁
Hike on the Closed Canyon Trail into a narrow canyon:
It got as narrow and steep that Sarah and Eyra couldn’t move further and Dominik went alone to the end.
Finding the well adapted and masked Lizard..
and at the other side of the State Park the city of Presidio is awaiting the Big Bend Ranch State Park traveler with a painted art work tank.
Two full days of Big Bend have found its end.. Tired but full of new experiences we got back to Alpine to start in our next adventure the next day: Davis Mountain State Park.
GRRRReat pictures !! keep them coming !!
