A hearty good-bye

All three are safely landed in Zurich and are back home in Switzerland after a ten hours flight from Miami to Zurich.

Home-1
Lots of luggage to take home 🙈
Home-2
The USA said good-bye to us with a magical sunset on the airport of Miami, Florida.
Home-3
And we flew directly over the city of Miami with a breathtaking last view on US soil.

In Switzerland, everything looks and smells the same as before, as time wouldn’t have gone by.. but probably this is just the feeling of “home”. We got welcomed with deep love by our family & friends and enjoyed just having some time again with them and seeing them in person. Although the todays techniques of Skype, Email, WhatsApp Calls and Blogs etc help a lot to stay connected, it’s just so comforting to talk face to face and just being at home again.Home-6
Welcome greetings from our dear neighbors
Home-4
Our godson Noah already awaited us with a deliciously self prepared Brunch as we came home (still in our “flight dress” after an overnight flight 😂🙈

We wanted to thank you so much for following us on this adventure. We feel so much gratitude for all we have learned for our lives during our long travels through the US, all the beautiful places we could see together, the three of us, and the interesting and good people we’ve met during our travels. We have enjoyed to take you along our travels and are thankful, that you have followed and supported us along our travels through America.

America is a great country and we will always remember our stay in this beautiful piece of the world. We hope you enjoyed some of the blogs and saw perhaps some parts of America which were new to you too.

We will let the blog run for some more time, especially for the information you’ll find in the “campground” section, as we think, this section could be quite useful to other travelers, who travel the US.

We close with some of our absolute favorites and specials.. enjoy with us for the last time, our highlights of over one year United States of America:

Moreover we wanted to share with you, what our blog readers liked the most. We produced 156 blog posts, gained 65 followers and had 5’278 visitors on our blog. As Worldpress offers a statistics site, we could track which blog got read the most. Here is the Hitlist, which is partially astonishing for us 😊:

1. Along the Mexican Border
2. Route
3. Once around the USA in one year
4. Sequoia National Forest & National Park
5. San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo

We also wanted to give our special thanks to our Swiss friends who came visiting us in the US (Jö, Dominik’s sister & godson, Monika & M., André and K.) and our American friends (or Swiss-American 😉) for having extended dinners with us (Clark & Ulla) or even let us stay in their respective beautiful homes (D. & G. and C. & A.). We very much enjoyed the time spent with you and are very grateful of your hospitality.

And with this.. …Three on the Road officially says Good-Bye.. we wish you and your families all the very best and safe travels wherever you may be and go. 😘

    1. 🤣 good idea.. but you probably would be the only one buying it, so the producing costs would be higher than any earnings out of it 🙄😕🤣
But we do an album for us.. we‘ll show you, once finished.. see you soon!

  6. die Zeit vergeht wie im Fluge.. 1 1/2 Jahre und doch schon vorbei… wunderschöne Bilder einer wunderschönen Reise… aber (aus Erfahrung) muss ich John Irving recht geben: Imagining something is better than remembering something…! Aber welcome back to the corporate world!
